Three Sisters Print

Three Sisters is what I would describe as a beautiful random infusion. I didn’t know what the outcome was going to be, I just started painting with the intention of being led by the way I felt and trusting the process allowing it to come together and unravel in different stages. The colour palette and lines that you see in the background came about organically but is closely inspired by my favourite subject matter; rock patterns that is imprinted in my mind. At the time of painting ‘Three Sisters’, the beautiful Banksias were blossoming down south and I immediately felt the urge to take this painting in a more abstract direction, combining both elements of mother nature. The rock inspired background serves as a lovely backdrop to these stunning native plants and the colours complement each other nicely.
