Letting Go Print

'Letting Go' is inspired by my ongoing interest and love of rock formations. During the process of painting this piece I was able to really get lost in the movement and rhythm of the lines as I painted them across the canvas. It is why rocks are currently my favourite subject matter, not only are they incredibly captivating to look at but painting them is a very freeing experience and I find I can really let go of any expectations for the outcome of the piece and just have fun in the process. The title is called Letting Go as that is what the painting means to me. It is a symbol of slowly becoming a little freer in my style and not getting stuck in detail but allowing the flow to happen naturally. I hope you as the viewer also feel a sense of the meaning when looking at it.
